Sorry, but I'm too lazy to write the synopsis here -_-" since yesterday I'd told this WHOLE story to Ratna, and it's 5.10 pm already... So, I'll just be going to write my review.
First, this book is all about Moslems. To note, I'm not one, and that's why I don't really understand those parts of the book (I've skipped some text to some extent regarding the Qur'an parts and the loooooooooooong looooooooooooooooong paragraph. Haha. Misoh2 aja kalo mau... saya memang gak ngerti apa2... udah brusaha ngerti padal -_-")
Second, I don't like the main character Fahri. I know it's kinda subjective... but I feel (and still!!!) like he is just too perfect to be a human. and too annoying. and that his mistakes were caused by those girls who didn't want to reach out for him???
Come on! ITU WAJAR lah... If we do need to reach out for you in the first place, there is no need for a marriage to take place. Haha.
Let us just face the people around us!! Is there anyone like that? Will there be anyone like that?
Okeh... I don't know bout the Moslems in pesantren... Thus, the main is, I cannot understand why the author just make the story so hyperbolic.
Third, there is this American girl Alicia who changed her religion in all of a sudden just by having her questions answered by this Fahri. Errr.... o.O A religion is not one kind of toys. How touching can the answers be, can you imagine?
I think it's just like making Christianity seems worse than Islam.
So in the end, if you are not a Moslem and you don't have that much time... No need to read it. Just a suggestion from me. Haha.
(Btw, I read it yesterday and the day before because I have nothing to do in the office. wtf -_-")
