well, i've just finished with the first 5 chapters of HP206 Cognitive Psychology.
1 hour for 1 chapter... haizz... it's much more longer than my core subjects
and yet i still don't get the main ideas.
chapter 1>> introspectionism (Wundt) - behaviorism (Watson, Skinner) - language (Chomsky) - cognitive
chapter 2>> methods for studying the brain, CT, MRI, fMRI, TMS, etc
chapter 3>> visual and perception >> ambiguities (indeterminacies: size/distance, shadow/luminance/light, shape/orientation); topdown / bottomup processing
chapter 9>> visual imagery >> imagery affects memory; imagery affects perception; propositions / logogens (verbal representations) vs analogs / imagens (image representations)
chapter 4>> attention >> limitation; filter theories (Broadbent 1958's filter theory, Treisman 1960's attenuation theory, modifiable-filter theory); selection failure (intra: inhibition of return, ironic process of mental control, maintaining vigilance; inter: structural representation limitation, psychological refractory period, blinking)
chapter 5>> memory: sensory memory and short term memory; Baddeley 1974/2001's working memory modal model
damn, i've forgot them all...
