Same same

Haha. Heeh Phin, I agree. They are just becomin cuter and cuter =p

A story of a rich king who wanna die...

Haev just found this story in the Christian section in NTU Public Folder. Quite nice anyway =)

Once upon a time there was a rich King who had four wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to the finest of delicacies. He gave her nothing but thebest. He also loved the 3rd wife very much and was always showing her off to neighboring kingdoms. However, he feared that one day she would leave him for another. He also loved his 2nd wife. She was his confidant and was always kind, considerate and patient with him. Whenever the King faced a problem, he could confide in her, and she would help him get through the difficult times.
The King's 1st wife was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and kingdom. However, he did not love the first wife. Although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her!
One day, the King fell ill and he knew his time was short. He thought of his luxurious life and wondered, "I now have four wives with me, but when I die, I'll be all alone."
Thus, he asked the 4th wife, "I have loved you the most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?"
"No way!", replied the 4th wife, and she walked away without another word. Her answer cut like a sharp knife right into his heart.
The sad King then asked the 3rd wife, "I have loved you all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?"
"No!", replied the 3rd wife. "Life is too good! When you die, I'm going to remarry!" His heart sank and turned cold.
He then asked the 2nd wife, "I have always turned to you for help and you've always been there for me. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?"
"I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!", replied the 2nd wife. "At the very most, I can only walk with you to your grave." Her answer struck him like a bolt of lightning, and the King was devastated.
Then a voice called out: "I'll go with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go." The King looked up, and there was his first wife. She was very skinny as she suffered from malnutrition and neglect.
Greatly grieved, the King said, "I should have taken much better care of you when I had the chance!"
In truth, we all have 4 wives in our lives: Our 4th wife is our body.No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it will leave us when we die.
Our 3rd wife is our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, it will all go to others.
Our 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how much they have been there for us, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.
And our 1st wife is our Soul. Often neglected in pursuit of wealth, power and pleasures of the world. However, our Soul is the only thing that will follow us wherever we go. Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now, for it is the only part of us that will follow us , when the world pushes you to your knees, you're in the perfect position to pray.

Guys...

Guys.

realize that the girl holding onto u..

is PERFECT in their own special way.

The way she laughs..

The way she sleeps..

The way she loves you..

The way she tries to please you...

Always remember that.

She can always walk away and up,

getting someone else who can love her more.

For all you know,

there is someone out there wooing her already,

but she is rejecting,

a maybe perfect love for you.

There might also be someone out there..

who is willing to love her more than you are loving her now,

fufill her every need and love her as much as she loves you.

Understand that.

Girls have a huge guilty concience....

imagine this, guys.

When you are holding her today...

and then you cheat on her by hugging

and kissing

another gal.

and then you run back to her...

and u do the same....

but you see love in her eyes...

What do you think?

Do you feel the hurt?

Can you feel the guilt?

She loves you not because you are

good looking,

have money,

buy her things,

make her parents happy,

or that you have a car.

She loves you for who you are.

Your every touch,

every word you say,

everything you do.

Guys.

Cherish and appreciate your girl.

Don't break her fragile heart.

She is the only one who can love you that way.

You won't wanna regret letting go of

that special girl you have.

For everything she has done for you,

the leastyou can do is to give her unconditional love

as she has given to you.

Quote of the day for 24th May 2006

I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning. ~ J. B. Priestly

The Allegory of The City

Aaaaaaaaaaaa........ C'mon let it be 19th of June... I'm waitin for the album "The Allegory of The City"...
Maybe it's a bit weird... well who is it? Oh my, it's my fave idol since primary schooollll comin back, haha =D
Oh well... just tryin to be a bit calm, haha. But dunno so excited XD n cannot stop thinkin bout it, oh my...

A quote from an interview in Bangkok, 21st May 2006:

I think that something that sticks with people is honesty. And talking about yourself, I think people like to hear about other people's lives. And they like to kind of vicariously live someone else's life. So I think that by me writing songs about myself, and about my friends, I think that it's kind of... I think people will like to listen to it because of those reasons. And there is a kind of classic feeling about it. I've been reading a lot of literature lately and I think that there's something about books like The Great Gatsby and Moveable Feast and all these great classic books that is similar to this album because it talks about someone's life, and it's very personal so it's real and it's convincing, and it's believable. I think those are the things that will last.

Dunno... Just nothin to do =p

Skip again -_-'

Oh my, how many hours have I skipped lectures so far. Got only 8 hours a week, yet only 2 hours effective... Aaaaaa... holiday mood always makes people lazy... (I mean, it's for me at least...) Well, d weather was just nice n it's still 9 o'clock in d mornin, my dear... yet very cold and cold... who donot wanna skip?

really in a bad mood

well, dunno. really in a bad mood now. wanna go out and have some fun lar. really bored and im feeling that ive been waiting for nothing these days long. i wanna go oooooutttttttt........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a fuckin intersem. who do u think u are that we all can stand for 4 consecutive hours for a single subject hah? i dont wanna be a professor or a doctor like u all shit.

Lesson of d day

Some lessons of "make up" (hey it's d real make up, not the make up lecture or sumthin... =.=) I've learnt today:
  1. Never buy a dress one day before the H-day -----> at least make it 3 days before.
  2. Never buy a dress which is not suitable for you; either mood or color.
  3. Never erase your nail polisher two hours before the H-time, it will be very troublesome n need a lot of efforts to do so.
  4. Never put a camera inside a handbag when u go to a party.
  5. Be prepared at least 4 hours before the H-time, so that you will have 2.5 hours to do the make up.
  6. Donot forget to bring your mascara over to d party, since it is TRUE that tears will wipe the mascara off and make your face looks terrible.
  7. Put some more... donot just a little when you want to spray perfumes...
  8. Have to know the place and what does it look like before the H-day... Got some time to think of everything.

Hum2... I think that's all... =D gotcha!

"A reminder for your safety & security"

Just received this email

The grapevine has it that a female jogger was seriously assaulted while jogging one evening. The veracity of this rumor cannot be verified because we have not received any report regarding this case. However, we would like to take this opportunity to remind all residents to exercise their personal responsibility. Residents should jog in groups and refrain from doing so alone, especially in the hours of darkness. In addition, they should be in bright attire if they are jogging at night. Cyclists should equip their bicycles with lights when cycling at night. Both joggers and cyclists should avoid deserted parts of the campus at night.

Well well well... A little proof that the rumour is true? =p dunno.

*bored bored bored bored...

Remember when I stayed up till nite...

This sem, some of them usually are caused by Art History. Actually I took this subject ADM432 Western Art History this semester only because I didn't get vacancy for Language Puzzle, haha. N also it's the first exam (I wanna have it all finish asap). Then, got shocked that I have to do presentation once in two weeks.
But nevermind, after exam I feel relieved. It's actually the 2nd most interesting subject this semester after HP102, hehe...
Some pictures in the course which I thought they are so interesting:

This is Las Meninas, by Diego Velasquez, my group first presentation.

This is The Sleeping Gypsy, by Henry Rousseau (in the Symbolism), my last presentation =)

Interesting subject isn't it?

Easter Eggs *too late*

Oh well, it's a bit too late to publish this photo =P I know.
However, this year's Easter seems a bit weird for me since I didnot go to church with my friends =) yet it still... *sigh, funny =)

These are 2 Easter Eggs that Elmar brought. Hum2, Omega 3 Eggs ^^ good for your health, jk jk... Just painted it with markers, coz no payet2 n pernak pernik laen (sorry, dunno the English =P) Well anyhow, it's just fine. First time I had Easter with Easter Eggs.
*Which one is cuter? The one on the right rite?

LT 22

Well, today is my first day of SS1. I am takin EE8062 this intersem. Attend d lectures at LT 22. Wow, it's my fave LT last semester. First it's the nearest LT to the old hall 3, and it's also my only LT every Friday (last sem of course). I remember we, SCBE students, took CH1031 in that LT last sem. We always sat at the front right corner together hohoho... Both the BIE (me, Ratna, Steffie, Bobby, Wellym and Adri sumtimes) and CBE (Goliath, Kelvin and Patrick). Nice memory isnt it? =)
Hum2... Such not a good day. Cannot sleep till 4.30 a.m. this morning le. And woke up late at 8.35... Oh well, then got stomachache (now still...) but too lazy to go back to the hall. I've brought my medicines here =D hehehe..
Now I'm stuck in HSS Library between S3 and S4... Very cold here huhuhu... Nevermind, got some Psychology books to read then. Oh, just thinkin what prof. Lee said this morning. Maybe I should change my profession to accountant also ^^ ? Since the engineer's salaries always be d worst among all... Omigosh. Forgot to ask him what's the title of the journal he quoted this morning, sigh..

Hall 3 sucks

Sigh, wat the f*ckin hall. Told can move to the new room from 4th May until tomorrow, but they cancelled it straightly.
Yesterday, last evening, after going back from Suntec and passing my new room, I still saw some sandals in front of d room and I saw the name on the door, something E***** I forgot, Accountin year 3.
Then today, still confused, after got the room key, I went there n knock the door. But noone answered so that I went in (hey, it's my room now! I have a right to go into my own room, rite?) and saw... Omigosh!!! The standing shelfs have been shifted and both beds are connected. Sigh, I don't wanna sleep with a stranger next rite beside me.
Going to hall office again (I get bored going there now), checkin my mailbox but still get no letters, wait for the stuffs to finish and ask her. She called my new room's roomate n then told me to move on 15th. Sigh, it sucks. I had packed nearly all my things and I have to stay at my old room again? God, I wanna finish it soon...

In a cold, lonely, deserving night...

It's 2.48 a.m. and I still cannot sleep. Fuh, what a boring life. So boring, lonely and useless. Why am I still living now? Just to make my parents happy? What's the use of making others happy but I feel very lonely inside?

In a cold, lonely night...

Well, you may say it's ok and I live a happy life. But how about my night life? During holidays, really not much things to do. And I feel very disappointed here. Everyone has their own activities and I really have NOTHING to do at nite. Wanna go somewhere else? It's nite, dear. Don't you think you can travel safely at nite because we are living in Singapore right now.
Many news bout suicide of a JC student, raped woman inside NTU, or people got killed and had their heads put in the MRT station...
What? You suggest me to play computer games and watching films? Thanks shit. It's very boring. Buy novels to be read? Money, honey, I'm not having lots of money to buy those expensive books (although they're cheap, MANY books will cost expensive).
Actually tonite someone promised to install games in my compie. But again, another unfulfilled promises. Too many to be counted. Sigh, maybe I'll just looking for people to help me then.

Looking forward to the next semester. I'll be so glad to have another busy weeks with so many AUs rather than keep waiting. Waiting AGAIN? No way. Thanks bitch. Just go somewhere else. Dun care anymore bout rain. It rains very hard these days though. Just the same as my heart feels. So empty in this cold, lonely night.

Japan, anyone?

I luv Japan. Actually I wanna study there, but I had no choice. It's just too late to change my destiny back to the way I wanna be.

The sakura picture is a photograph I borrowed from uncle Kiki ^^ since I luv it so much. I wanna go to Japan to get my master degree actually, but it's rather complicated so that I may not able to do it. Well, nevermind then. Maybe I'll just go for a holiday someday.

... Remember When It Rained...

... R A I N ...

"Rain" also meant to be a Latin name for female baby, which means "ruler". I willnot talk about babies and babies onwards, but this is about my life...

In our dreams, the interpretation of rain is contingent on your current circumstances as well as the kind of rain that is falling. Rain naturally cleans, refreshes, and "provides life-giving moisture." Depending on the dreamer it could suggest a period of renewal and fertility (reproduction or creativity). However, dark clouds and a heavy downpour indicate feelings of isolation and helplessness. On the other hand, the heavy downpour could represent unconscious materials and emotions attempting to enter the dreamer's conscious mind.

Rain also differs in the cultural meanings.
In the Judeo-Christian cultural tradition, rain served as tool of God's wrath. Angered by the behavior of his people, God sent forty days and forty nights of rain; the only survivors were the favored family of Noah and the pairs of animals which found refuge on the ark. While in other biblical narratives rain functions as a blessing, this Old Testament story has been very influential in establishing the place of rain and storm imagery in the cultural meaning system. One result of this system of meaning is that rain images like thunder, lightning, wind, and flood tend to symbolize ominous things like anger, danger, and hardship in cultures which descend from the Judeo-Christian tradition.
Such is not the case in all cultures. In the Anasazi culture, for example, rain was held to be sacred. The Anasazi lived in the Four Corners region of the desert southwest -- an arid high-desert environment. Reliant upon the winter snow in the mountain to feed streams and springs throughout the year, and reliant on spring rainshowers to supplement their strenuous irrigation efforts, the Anasazi culture came to view rain as a gift from the Rain God.

Cover my earth mother four times with many flowers.
Let the heavens be covered with the banked-up clouds.
Let the earth be covered with fog; cover the earth with rains.
Great waters, rains, cover the earth. Lightning cover the earth.
Let thunder be heard over the earth; let thunder be heard,
Let thunder be heard over the six regions of the earth.
(Roberts and Amidon 149)
